One of the most difficult hurdles to overcome is the belief in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. I've thought on it often, and as I grew in my faith, I've come to know He's there.
As Christians, we believe we are all sinners, and as sinners, we may as well have nailed a spike into Jesus ourselves. As Catholics, we are very fortunate that Mary holds such a prominent place of honor in our faith as the Mother of Christ. We can pray to Mary and ask for her intercession. What son would deny his mother's request. How much I've thought as a mother myself, that if someone hurt my son, could I still love them? Could I still forgive them?
Do you ever wonder about all the sins floating around in the confessional? One day I went in there around Easter, and it must have been about 100©. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The poor priest was sweating. What does he do with all that info? I know he offers it up to the Lord. But at least we've gotten them off our chests.
Do you enjoy Sunday Mass? Do you look forward to receiving a message from God? How many of us are there to just go through the motions and put in our hour out of obligation? Mass is meant to be enjoyed. Participation is the key.
Do you find it hard to find peace and quiet in your home and difficult to come into the presence of the Lord? Try Adoration, watch one hour with Jesus. Sit quietly, pray, listen, you may receive an important message, you may just receive the peace and serenity you need.
I've often wondered what goes on in the minds of many at mass. I know what went on in my mind for so long. I had no clue. Now I know why I'm there. Why do you go to mass?
